FOCUS ON HEARING AND SEEING
NOVEMBER 6-10
We are reminded of our need to be the prophetic people of God, reflecting Him, and being in tune with what He is saying and doing.
May our eyes be opened, and our ears be finely tuned to His Voice. May we all be increased as a prophetic people.
May our worship and prayer be prophetic, and may we understand the times and seasons, like the sons of Issachar.
And may we all take responsibility to walk in all nine of the gifts of the Holy Spirit, stirring ourselves up in our callings and appointments.
In particular, let the next generation be raised up as prophets in the land. And let there be an increase of dreams and visions for all, and within our community and the nations to which we are called.
Meditate on these verses and let them form part of your prayer

FOR REFLECTION AND JOURNALING
1. What does it mean that God does nothing unless He first reveals it prophetically? Why is the testimony of Jesus called the "spirit of prophecy"?
2. What do you feel about the nine gifts of the Holy Spirit? Are you asking God for these, or have you become passive?
3. Why were the "sons of Issachar" so important to King David's strategy? How does this apply to us in GVC? How does it apply to you?
Take some time to journal and discuss these questions and anything else the Holy Spirit points out to you, with Jesus.
