FOCUS ON MOVING FORWARD

NOVEMBER 21-25

We recognise that we are all in a time of transition. Very little is the same as it was – except our God, His love, His Word, and His plans. Often the time of change is a time of shaking, and we recognise that things around us are not always as reliable as people believed them to be.

The time of change is also meant to be a time of transition: of doorways and bridges into new callings, giftings, and encounters.

Some doors have to close to enable transition; others have to open. Often there is a fierce battle to enter the doors of destiny as there can be warfare attached to them. It is at these places that our hearts are tested and our determination challenged. But there is more grace.

Pray for the transitions we are in, and for the next seasons of GVC to be fully established.

FOR REFLECTION AND JOURNALING

1. Why do changes help us to fear God and to seek Him better? What is He looking to do in your life through the changes you are experiencing now?

2. Why is it important that God closes doors as well as opening them? Which do you ask Him for most, closed or open doors?

3. Why do doors and transitions often contain opposition and warfare? What should we do?

Take some time to journal and discuss these questions and anything else the Holy Spirit points out to you, with Jesus.
